Anti-wrinkle Injections In Oakgrove, Milton Keynes
Anti-wrinkle injections are a modern way of smoothing out unwanted lines and wrinkles on the face. In some cases they can be applied to other parts of your body too.
Less is sometimes more…
It is now becoming more and more popular for our patients to use smaller doses of anti-wrinkle injections in a style that is nicknamed “Baby Botox”.
Commonly used by many A-list celebrities to achieve a more natural look, a much smaller amount of anti-wrinkle solution is used in a micro-droplet technique. This doesn’t freeze the muscle entirely so still leaves you with some movement.
The final result is your complexion looks fresher, smoother and essentially more natural.
We offer a full range of anti-wrinkle injections from our network of CQC approved clinics in Milton Keynes, Cheltenham, Buckingham and Leamington Spa. All of our aesthetics doctors are highly trained and regulated medical professionals with an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy.

More about Anti-wrinkle Injections
How long does Botox last?
Anti-Wrinkle injections, sometimes knows as Botox, typically last between three and four months. The exact time will depend on several factors such as your skin’s exposure to the sun and how your skin reacts to the treatment.
Is anti-wrinkle injections the same as Botox?
Essentially yes, Botox is a manufacturer of anti-wrinkle injections, and as the market leader, the public has labelled anti-wrinkle injections like Botox. There are several other established suppliers, and they all do a very good job.
Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?
Anti-wrinkle injections are entirely safe when administered by a qualified and regulated professional. The anti-wrinkle serum is heavily regulated and medically approved for use in the UK. So as long as it is administered correctly, there is limited risk.
Should I get anti-wrinkle injections?
If you have unwanted lines or wrinkles on your face, then anti-wrinkle injections could be an option. Medically approved and administered at one of our regulated medical practices with an aesthetic doctor, we can target the wrinkles you don't want and smooth them out using anti-wrinkle injections.
Are fillers safer than anti-wrinkle injections?
Dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections are used to treat different parts of the face and for different purposes. Anti-wrinkle injections is a muscle injection, whereas dermal filler sits between the muscle and the skin (outer dermis).
At what age should I get anti-wrinkle injections?
The age requirement for anti-wrinkle injections is 18. However, adults of this age rarely require anti-wrinkle injections, as with a good skincare routine no wrinkles should yet be present.
It is popular to start having anti-wrinkle injections before wrinkles occur, which is a preventative approach. However, the right age to start does depend on exposure to the sun, how comprehensive your skincare routine has been and your skin’s natural elasticity.
What happens if I stop using anti-wrinkle injections?
It is a misconception that if you stop having anti-wrinkle injections, all of the wrinkles you would have had will suddenly come back with a vengeance. The anti-wrinkle injection freezes the muscle that causes the wrinkle to appear.
As this muscle won't have been working, the wrinkle will not have developed or got worse. Once the anti-wrinkle injection wears off, the muscle will become active again. This may cause the wrinkle to re-appear.
What should I do after my Anit-wrinkle injection?
There are a few things that you can do after having treatment:
- Avoid touching and rubbing the area that has been treated
- Avoid extreme heat/cold for up to one week post-treatment
- Limit heavy alcohol consumption for 24 hours
- Limit exercise for 24 hours
What is the difference between dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are used to smooth out unwanted lines and wrinkles, whereas dermal fillers are used to plump up or fill out areas of the face to rejuvenate the skin.
It is very common to use a mixture of both treatments to stop further progression of lines and wrinkles, and fill out the ones that may already exist.
How often can I get Anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections should have a gap of 10-12 weeks between each treatment. Administered correctly, the injection will last this long and shouldn't even be necessary for it to be re-done in between.
If, however, you want to treat some additional areas, there is no gap needed between treatments.
Can you stop anti-wrinkle injections once you start?
Yes. The way to look at anti-wrinkle injections is delaying wrinkles and lines that would have otherwise developed. If you choose to stop having treatment, your skin will continue to age as before.
Is 50 to old for anti-wrinkle injections?
No, anti-wrinkle injections have helped people of all ages. However, the earlier you start to treat unwanted wrinkles and lines, the easier it is to stop them from progressing.
Where does anti-wrinkle injection go when it wears off?
Your body metabolises anti-wrinkle injections naturally. This is why they wear off. It's a natural process that occurs in your body.
